Dear Sherman Oaks Little League community,

We are reaching out to provide an update on the COVID-19 situation and the actions SOLL is taking to ensure the health of our players, families, coaches and staff. Please note: there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the SOLL community that we have been made aware of. Out of an abundance of caution, and based on the recommendations of Governor Gavin Newsom and California public health officials for cancelling and postponing even small gatherings, the league has decided that, effective today, there will be no games and no team practices for the next two weeks, and a scheduled re-evaluation is expected to take place on Thursday March 26. We will continue to monitor the situation daily during this hiatus. The season is NOT being terminated at this time. We are just suspending immediate league-organized activities until we have more information. We are continuing to talk to other leagues and health care professionals and are making coordinated decisions that we find to be in the best interest of our community. 

As a reminder, for families planning international travel during break, it is important to note that should you visit a country under a CDC Level 2 or Level 3 Travel Health Notice, your family should not go to SOLL for 14 days following your return to Los Angeles. If you are planning to travel to a country under a Level 2 or 3 Travel Health Notice, we would greatly appreciate your notifying the league. SOLL will continue to monitor and follow recommendations provided by the Los Angeles County Health Department regarding all public gatherings. We will provide regular updates during the break as new information becomes available. 

Our greatest priority is the safety and well-being of our players, families, coaches, and staff. We are grateful for your partnership, understanding, and support during this time.
